Hebrew Free Loan of Austin provides short-term financial support for members of the greater Austin Jewish community through interest-free loans that springboard recipients to their next step in life. Loans are based on a recycling model where loan re-payments are put back to work funding new loans over and over again.
Over the last 13 years, Hebrew Free Loan of Austin has provided over 250 interest-free loans totaling over $1.5 million to Jews within the greater Austin community.
Joe Krassner’s dream was to build a strong community dedicated to strengthening Jewish life and caring for people in need in Austin, Israel and around the world. Help HFLA carry on his vision by making Jewish life in Austin even stronger.
